Business breakfast debate
A breakfast debate on theScottish Budget, organised by the Scottish Council for Development and Industry
(SCDI), was chaired by Charles McGhee in Glasgow at the end of October. Around 50 SCDI member companies were represented and they quizzed four leading politicians.
The panel, which comprised Andy Kerr, Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Finance and Sustainable Growth (Labour); Joe Fitzpatrick, Finance Committee Member (SNP); Derek Brownlee, Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Finance and Sustainable Growth (Conservatives); and Ross Finnie, Shadow Secretary for Health (Liberal Democrats), were questioned on a range of topics including the controversial cancellation of the Glasgow Airport Rail Link (GARL).
